Eric Savoy is a tax principal at Deloitte Tax LLP and the East Coast tax leader of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions Transaction Services practice. He serves the firm’s largest private equity clients on acquisition and disposition transactions, including tax due diligence and structuring aspects related to domestic and cross-border taxable and tax-free acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, leveraged buyouts, and refinancings. In addition, he leads the Deloitte Mergers & Acquisitions practice’s professional staff evaluation committees as well as the New York office’s JD/LLM recruiting efforts. Before joining Deloitte, he served as a law clerk to the judges of the Vermont Trial Courts (civil, criminal, and family). Savoy is a member of the Massachusetts and New York bars.
While at New England Law | Boston, he was managing editor of the New England Journal on Criminal and Civil Confinement; a participant in the National Tax Moot Court Competition (quarterfinalist in the Oral Argument Competition and second-best Brief Award); and a recipient of the New England Law | Boston Service Award.
