Professional Background

Since 2017, Brandon Moss has worked as a Senior Legal Editor (Litigation) for Thomson Reuters in its Practical Law service. Moss develops, drafts, and maintains guidance on state and federal litigation topics, with a focus on Massachusetts procedural and commercial litigation content. Before joining Practical Law, Moss worked with various Massachusetts law firms, most recently as a Partner with Murphy, Hesse, Toomey, & Lehane, LLP. His primary areas of focus include litigation, public law, employment law, and land use law.

Moss served as Town Counsel to four Massachusetts municipalities which included providing representation in the areas of local legislation, governance, licensing/permitting, enforcement, zoning/planning/conservation, procurement/contracts, health, constitutional, and firearms matters, among other areas. Moss has also represented clients in litigation matters before state administrative agencies and state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels throughout Massachusetts.
