New England Law | Boston is committed to a comfortable and supportive atmosphere for students of color to help ensure their success in law school. A cornerstone of that effort is the Charles Hamilton Houston Enrichment Program, which welcomes all students interested in issues of race and ethnicity.
The program takes its name and inspiration from the work of Charles Hamilton Houston, the first general counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. We are proud of our community in which students’ varied backgrounds and experiences contribute to the intellectual and social life of the school.
Special Programs Create a Welcoming Environment
- The First-Year Discussion Group considers issues such as race and ethnicity in the classroom, the legal profession, and the law.
- Lectures on issues that affect students of color and the community as a whole are open to the entire law school.
