Access to Databases in Library

The first floor reading area has two computers set aside for Alumni use. One allows free access to Westlaw databases, and one to Lexis. These machines may only be used for a 30 minute period.

In addition, our alumni may utilize some of the other subscription databases with the identification number (the barcode) on the back of an Alumni Library Card.

All databases are accessible in the library, but remote access to certain databases may be limited, depending on our contract with the vendor. Social Law and BNA databases are available remotely only to current students, staff and faculty.

Apply for an Alumni Permit Card

Library permit cards are issued to New England Law | Boston graduates. The Alumni card allows you:

  • to check out no more than five circulating books at one time for 30 days with one renewal allowed;
  • easy access through the turnstiles into the library; and
  • remote access, after signing in with your barcode, to our subscription databases.

Apply here.

Alumni library card privileges may be revoked if the card holder fails to observe library policies. Your application will be reviewed and, if approved, your library card will be mailed to you in approximately 2 weeks.
