Biography

Tackey Chan is a state representative from the 2nd Norfolk District in Quincy, Massachusetts. He also is of counsel to the firm of Boyle, Shaughnessy & Campo, P.C. He formerly served as an assistant attorney general in the Office of Ratepayer Advocacy, representing the interests of utility consumers. He also served as general counsel and legislative director for a Massachusetts state senator.

Chan’s experience in the private sector includes work as an information systems administrator, the founder of his own part-time, private law practice, and an actor in local television commercials. He has received several awards for his extensive record of volunteer service, including his service as board president of Quincy Asian Resources, Inc., which he helped establish, and as a board member of Work, Inc., and Quincy Community Action Programs.
